New Tricks Every Day

Okay, I know, I promised I would keep this up better than I have been. However, to defend myself, I had no idea how busy I would be once the babies were here. Once I have a free minute or two after the babies go to bed, all I want to do is stare aimlessly at the TV! Anyway, my apologies (yes, Angela, I'm talking to you!).

So much has been happening that it's hard to remember it all. I will just give you a quick briefing by showing some pictures.

Back in May, Hannah and Noah got meet their Great-Grandma Joray for the first time. We took them up to Berne and had a very nice visit. Great-Grandma was delighted to hold them on her lap while she was wheeled around the nursing home. Everybody made such a fuss over them, she was in seventh heaven.

A visit with Great-Grandma Joray

I can't remember if Hannah was crawling when I last posted or not, but she has been crawling for quite some time now. She has also learned to climb the steps. We got the baby gate up really quick after she figured that one out!

Quick, put up the gate

Her most recent additions to her repetoire are standing on her own and taking steps. She isn't really "walking" yet, but will be very, very soon. Too soon if you ask me!

Believe it or not, she asked me for the car keys

Noah is taking his time. He is crawling around pretty well now. It's still mostly an army crawl punctuated by periods of on-the-knees or on-the-bottom crawling. He is learning things a lot more quickly than Hannah did. I guess its easier when you can watch your sibling make all of the mistakes. He is already able to pull himself up on his own.

I've been saving up the energy to do this for a week!

He has also had his first hair cut. I had been begging Elizabeth for the longest time to get his sides trimmed. The curls were driving me nuts!

Noah looking a little questionable

Finally, one day out of the blue, she said, "You wanna cut his hair?" I jumped at the chance and actually cut it myself. I think I did a pretty good job, what do you think?!

One hot dude, look out ladies

Luckily for Elizabeth, the babies are starting to play with each other a little bit. We have been promised by many parents of twins that it is such a blessing for them to have a built-in playmate. We've been waiting and waiting. We can tell they are going to make quite the pair!

Shhh, don't tell that she was actually just climbing over him to get to a toy!

We just got back from a vacation at Brown County State Park with Elizabeth's parents. While there we snapped this picture. I think Hannah and Noah must have caught on to us watching "So You Think You Can Dance." It looks to me like they're doing a Broadway routine!

Jazz fingers!

Finally, just for fun, I thought I'd throw in a picture of the Joray siblings that I took when everyone was here for Bruce and Alyssa's wedding shower. We had a great time having everyone here, and we're getting excited for their approaching wedding on September 6th.

What a good looking crew

Until next time! Love you all.
