Boiler Up!

Today was homecoming at Purdue. They played Northwestern. I watched the game, only the second I've watched this season. I watched the Ohio State game as well and decided then I wasn't going to watch any others. My curiosity got the best of me today and I watched. The Boilers picked up an early 14-0 lead, but by half time it was tied at 14. Northwestern had four turnovers in the first half, but we just weren't able to capitalize on them. Finally things picked up in the second half and we ended up winning 35-17. I was glad I watched.

This evening was our ward Halloween party. There was a potluck dinner, talent show, and Trunk or Treating. I mentioned in a previous post that I was going to be in the Bishopric skit during the talent show. The skit went well, but there were some nice musical performances that put us to shame.

Hannah and Noah didn't get to go to the party. Nana came to watch them. It was probably a good thing anyway since Hannah is sick. She has a runny nose and cough. Noah seems to be coming down with it as well. I'm planning on staying home from church with them tomorrow. I'm kind of sad about that because I'm going to miss a big announcement that I happen to already know about. Can't give it away here though...

Nice work, getting the scoop early! Pres. Bland gave us permission to continue to be friends with people in this stake though we will soon be north stake people. :) We had a great time at cheeseburger in paradise, we should do that again soon. I hope the kids are feeling better soon. Thanks for re-checking on my blogging etiquette question.
