Time for a Change

I decided it was time to change the look of the blog. Did you notice?

I have to admit. I'm having second thoughts about liking 9:00 church better than 1:00 church. I guess I still prefer it, it's just that the babies haven't been liking it as much as they did at the beginning. We have started letting them take little catnaps during church, but then sometimes they'll come home and not want to take their real nap. But, if we skip the catnaps, church is a nightmare. Any ideas from the more experienced folks out there? I keep telling myself...only 2 more months until nursery, only 2 more months until nursery...

I got some exciting news late this past week. I have been waiting for some time to see if my health insurance was going to approve coverage for a continuous glucose monitor. Out of the blue, the insulin pump company called me and said it was approved and they were ready to ship it to me.

The pump screen It's a pretty slick system and I'm looking forward to the increased control it will give me over my diabetes. It will give me a blood sugar reading once every five minutes and has alarms to notify me when it goes out of my preset range. I'll have another thing stuck to me all the time, but I'm not expecting it to be a problem since I don't even notice the pump itself.

Not Adam's stomach!

I really like the new look. I have been searching for new templates as well, but haven't made the leap yet. As far as church goes, I don't know what is the hardest for your kids, but I found that if I just let Brooke run around in the hallways during Sunday School, she could keep it together enough to make it through most (sometimes) of Relief Society. I also tried to bring snacks she doesn't usually get (the sweet ones). Those have a lot of power at our house. :) Good luck with that. And I don't mean to be pessimistic, but nursery hasn't worked out for us the way I dreamed. I thought she would LOVE it in there, but it's not been that fun yet.
